Credit Card FAQs
How do I choose the right credit card?
Start with your biggest monthly spending category (groceries, fuel, dining, online shopping). Look for cards that offer the highest reward rate in that category, then check if there's a monthly cap or exclusions that would limit your earnings.
What is a monthly reward cap?
A monthly cap limits how much cashback or rewards you can earn per month. For example, a card offering 5% cashback with a ₹500 cap means you stop earning after ₹10,000 in spending. Cards with no cap give unlimited rewards.
Should I get a lifetime free card or a paid card?
If you spend under ₹1L/month, a lifetime free card usually wins. Paid cards make sense only if the extra rewards and benefits (lounge access, higher rates) outweigh the annual fee based on your actual spending.
What are excluded categories?
Most cards exclude certain merchant categories from earning rewards: commonly fuel, rent, wallet loads, EMI, and insurance payments. A card with 'great' rates may be worthless if it excludes your main spending category.
About this credit card list
This page lists 30 Indian credit cards from 11issuers, each hand-checked against the bank's own product page or MITC. We compare them on real reward math — base rates, partner and category rates, monthly caps, excluded categories, and the realistic value of points after redemption — not just the headline rate a bank advertises.
Use the filters to narrow by reward type (cashback, reward points, or air miles), annual fee, card network, lounge access, and forex markup, then open any card for the full breakdown of fees, benefits, and the catches. Rankings are purely data-driven: we take no affiliate fees from banks, so nothing here is ordered to earn a commission.
